Garden Benches answer the question of where one is to sit to enjoy the ambiance of the garden or the yard. Benches, properly designed and used can certainly be an integral part of the garden art or yard art. Inexpensive benches can be obtained almost anywhere and portable yard furniture may suit you just fine. Stone or concrete garden benches lend a sense of formality to the outdoor space and can blend nicely with other garden art or yard art.

Another use of concrete benches is to memorialize someone or something and perhaps to bring an appropriate piece of poetry into the space.
Although I am writing about benches made from concrete, remember that concrete is somewhat unique because it can be finished and colored to mimic other materials and still maintain its finish for many years in spite if the weather.
