Whimsy

Garden Art provides a focus to the ambiance of a garden or yard. Whimsical garden art follows Webster’s definition as a product of playful or capricious fancy. Garden art that provides a playful accent to the garden frequently are the smaller and less expensive items. Some of this type of garden art is very colorful and enhances the color in the garden, especially when flowers are not in bloom.

One example is garden stakes with caricatures of butterflies or other wild life attached to the top. Another example is art specifically designed as garden art and provides a playful caricature of an animal or insect. These items may be designed to also perform a specific function in the garden, such as holding a flower pot.
